Hi, I am in the "Golden Years" and have haphazardly gained 25-30 lbs. by just not paying attention as I once did when I was young and knew how important it was to look nice in my clothes and also had plenty of energy to do chores and really enjoy life.
Now, with children grown, and several natural slow downs due to age and diabetes 2 and osteo, I need to start back taking better care of this old body to once again enjoy the God's gift of wonderful grandchildren and the precious time I am able to spend with my husband and friends!

My Goals:
I need to lose at least 20 lbs. (seems like 100) for serious health reasons. My scale plays with me!! ! want to clear out the clutter in my home and in my head


My Program:
I exercise for at least 1 hour at the gym 3-4 days a week; try daily to cut servings and eat the right foods for my Diabetes 2 condition; cooking more green veggies and eating out less for better control of my calories.

Personal Information:
Born in Arkansas, but got to Texas as fast as I could!

Other Information:
I am a very lucky person as well as truly blessed, but sadly remembering it is not always what I do first!

This is my chance to stop, reflect and admit what I enjoy: my beautiful family, true friends, "local color" short stories, genealogy, photography, and travel.

I enjoy a life a little less ordinary and thank God for all His blessings. Hard work, perserverence, and honesty do pay off! Following a moral upbringing truly is the greatest reward.

    I am fighting moods now up and down due to my body will not hold b 12 due to so much intenstional surgery. Seems some days i dread even things should be fun or i am nervous.

    Daughter took me to my sis grave today to take flowers. I miss her very much and say why am i here not her? I then think of my daughter i know loves me and my precious granddaughter i keep. I know i am here for a reason as ARE YOU. " Hang in there" and keep looking your see your
    reason to be here and to be healthy.

    My new plan is back to weighing food and i am thinking of one week to try

    idea i read. Give up all dairy and all meat for one week.

    I heard meat makes some gain and i believe it is true. My sis died due to

    her weight and she loved meat so much . I use to say to her meat will make

    you gain. She say we need meat it want. I said Have You ever seen many

    skinny lions?

    So. after Christmas i am trying it for one week. No bacon , no sausage , no chops, no chicken. No butter, no eggs, no cheese.

    I bet it work if nothing else it give me money to buy more vegetables.
