My third round of 5% challenges is underway

I will exercise daily for a minimum of 20 minutes for the 56 days of the challenge. I will follow Write Yourself Write Size by Julia Cameron. On my Team page I will record my daily exercise and Living the Good Life Points, and on Wednesdays I will weigh in and record it. I will check in with my team daily and leave a comment on the Discussion Board. I will read and comment on blogs as I have time.

Check in Wednesday, February 27:228.2 Up 5.2 since January ended.
Check in Saturday, April 6:223.4 Down 4.8 since February ended. Almost rid of the 5.2 I gained in February.

New starting weight Tuesday, July 2: 232.8

Check in Wednesday, July 31: 226.4 down 2.8 more pounds, for a total loss of 5.8 pounds in July.

Check in Wednesday, August 28: 221.6 down 4.8 pounds in August, a total of 11.2 pounds since I restarted at the beginning of July

I am a 40 year young woman, 5 feet 5 inches tall. My wonderful hubby and I have been married 13 1/2 years, and we have two fabulous children. I started on my journey to be healthier and lose weight in January 2007, at the weight of 213 pounds, and spent an entire year making small changes and trying to get my mind into the right place. Over the course of that year, by January 2008, I had gained 2 pounds, and was at my all time (non pregnancy) high of 215 pounds. I knew that the little changes weren't working, and I needed to jump in with both feet. I did think I was working hard at improving my health, but the pounds didn't come off easily because I kept getting off track, so by January of 2009, my weight was at 193, down 22 pounds in the past year. I then found Spark people and lost another 20 pounds or so in 2009. I started January 2010 at 170 pounds. I came down with pneumonia at the end of 2010, and battled for months to regain my health and return to running by February of 2011. I started January 2011 at 179.2 pounds. On May 29 2011, I had gained even more weight from eating poorly and not being active enough, and I was back to 198.8 pounds. I rededicated myself, and as of August 9, I was down to 189.6. As of Sunday, January 1, 2012, I was back up to 211 pounds. As of September 26 2012, I had gained 6 pounds for the year. It is now March 2013, and I weigh 228.2.

My Program:
I focus on drinking my 8-10 water, getting in some very light exercise either walking or biking and making sure I get enough sleep.

My main focus right now is to stay healthy and weigh 219.6 by August 31.

No problem! It's something that I've been realizing lately.

The goal is to develop healthier living habits and I think most of that is mental. I feel like the weight will really start coming off with those habits in place :)

Thanks for asking! I have been struggling off and on for a while, and have been trying to get back on track with my running. I lost the routine and am having a hard time getting it back. There is always hope, every day I try again! emoticon
