Thanks for the comments on my blog! I never had the reflux problem, but my daughter does...and every time she ups her carbs, she has painful esophagus issues. It's amazing how too many carbs can affect so many body systems! Yea low carb!

What the research says is that carrying a child to a full term birth causes the tissue in the breasts to develop from immature breast tissue to mature breast tissue. This is caused by the hormones a womans body produces during pregnancy.

Basically having a child reduces the risk of breast cancer. The younger a woman is (early 20's) the more her chances are reduced by virtue of the fact that she has spent less time in adulthood with immature breast tissue cells which are vulnerable to breast cancer.

When a pregnancy is interrupted whether by nature (giving birth prior to 34 wks) or by other means seems to increase the risk for breast cancer. This information may not cause a young woman to carry a child to term but she shouldn't be denied the information. It should be her Choice.
