My Journey

I was widowed on August 6, 2012, after 37 happy years with my husband. We raised 3 beautiful children. My heart is in heaven, but I am still here, as is my duty, for now. So - I need to take care of this body, and that means losing (again) the weight I regained while my husband was sick.

I firmly believe in the sanity of No S and the need for the outlook here on Spark (and other places)! Plus, I still find the topic of how to manage eating without counting and weighing so very interesting that I still enjoy being involved. I am convinced that a lot of misery could be avoided for at least 80% of people who want to live in peace with food. The stats on obesity rates in countries that basically live similarly to No S prove that. So many people here are failing at the countless variations on counting/food elimination diets! Not that everyone will adjust easily to No S. People need support because there is so much competition from other systems and because it's such a different process. But it's the way TENS of MILLIONS of people live successfully WITH food without knowing calories nor how much they weigh. Okay, enough preaching!

Thanks for the goodie Mary. I've been missing your posts on the team.
The last couple of pounds took me awhile to get rid of. Seems like I'm slowing down now that we are back around civilization again.

My son and his wife are taking us out to dinner tonight for Mother's day but I can always take some home.

I hope to see or hear from you again soon. emoticon
