I'm a bit of a renaissance woman with a keen interest in the arts and psychology. I am looking to live my life to the fullest and to commit to my overall health and well-being. I love and find the beauty in everything and look at people for who they are and not what they look like. I am also very spiritual in nature and I do mean that in a very broad sense.

I am very busy because my job in the arts requires a great deal of my time, often during irregular hours. This makes eating properly and staying in shape a particular challenge.

I struggled with my weight up to age of 20 and then lost 20 pounds or so due to a stressful schedule. I looked and felt fabulous and had a ton of energy. I worked like a machine and won a ton of respect for it. Then I graduated from university for the last time (at 27 I had accumulated four degrees) and settled into a more sedentary job and lifestyle.

Over the past few years, the pounds have started to creep back on and it is getting much more difficult to take them off. I have suffered a lot of grief and loss with my family this past year with the passing of my Father as well as several uncles and cousins. Many of the people I am close to right now are suffering from illnesses as well - some of them extremely serious. The stress has manifested itself by causing insomnia and extreme fatigue.

I can't change the circumstances in my life right now, but I have decided to change how I am reacting to them. I am starting slowly with the hope that this way I will not be overwhelmed and will be able to commit to a long - term lifestyle change. I feel blessed to have so much love and blessing in my life despite the difficulties I have had and sincerely hope to share this journey and lend support to anyone who needs it along the way.

My Goals:
I am here to get healthy and attend to all areas of my wellbeing. This includes diet and exercise but also listening to my body and honouring my limits. I have often overextended myself in the past and this time, it's about balance and, ultimately, success!

My Program:
I am tracking my food every day to make myself aware of my habits.

I am trying to sleep more so I have the energy to do what I need to do.

I am using Chalene Johnson's Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, and Chalene Extreme as well as yoga and pilates to build a strong and stable body.
