Working My Butt Off- Literally!

I am a thirty something married first grade teacher who recognizes a need for a healthy active lifestyle. I do okay (most of the time) with eating well and controlling portions but exercise is my nemesis since I am completely exhausted by the time I get home. I have struggled with motivation and now that I am back in school it is only getting tougher.

I do okay (most of the time) with eating well and controlling portions but exercise is my nemesis since I am completely exhausted by the time I get home. I have struggled with motivation and now that I am back in school it is only getting tougher.

I have been on Sparkpeople almost a year now and it has made me aware of myself if nothing else. I have decided that in addition to eating right and not snacking mindlessly that I want to work my butt off. I don't just mean working hard, I mean toning and firming my hind end. I really want a trim sexy butt that I am not self-conscious of in front of my husband. With help from the exercise demos and workout generators as well as Coach Nicole's videos I can find lots of fun ways to get some toning in while keeping it fresh and hopefully keeping me from boredom.

My background picture was taken in Fundu Lagoon, Pemba Island, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Africa. Yes- it really was this beautiful and the pictures don't even begin to describe how stunning and serene this place was. We spent a week here and it was probably the least stressful week of my adult life.

Thank you for your comment on my blog!!!! I'm glad you like my honesty... because, really, learning NOT to beat myself up over stuff like mini butterfingers was key for my lifestyle change... I really believe weight loss is about changing your mind as much as your body.

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I feel so blessed with the outcome of the surgery. It really was an overwhelming experience, but God is good and He was with me throughout. Now I am healing and anxious to get back to living! Unfortunately since I have been away from my class one student moved and one has been suspended (argh!). A new sub is starting on Monday and I hope she calls me soon so we can talk. However, I can't put too much energy into worrying about it - I just need to get better. Have a wonderful weekend.
