I'm Back - Again - And Again

Okay, so it's been a while. I'm back to weighing 161, which is about what I weighed in highschool. Not the worst weight I've been at, but definintely not the best. Just about average for me. Anyway, I think it's high time to get back to weighing 145 or less and looking more like my profile pic, which was taken around a year ago.

I'm an off and on Sparkpeople user, and I come back every time now that I need to lose weight, because I know this is what has worked for me in the past. I ...

I'm an off and on Sparkpeople user, and I come back every time now that I need to lose weight, because I know this is what has worked for me in the past. I think it works because tracking, spinning the sparkpeople wheel, reading articles for points, etc. all feels more like a game to me than a weight loss program, and I do love my games (in fact, I'm going to school to become a game designer).

I'll be graduating in May, so I'm going to use that as a deadline to get back to my goal weight of 145. That's essentially what worked when I was here three years ago (when I was graduating with my associates degree). It always feels easier to lose weight when there's a special event to lose it for (maybe because it makes the timeline less flexible).

Thanks for the comment! Good call with the sticking with it for x amount of days. I really agree with the control comment. Maybe that's what's so frustrating about all this - we can control how many calories we eat and how much we exercise but not what the scale says. Congrats on the move!

Congrats on moving. I would rather spend my money on homegoods instead of clothes any day. I tell Eric all the time that when we get a house, we live in an apartment now, I'm going to go insane buying things for it! LOL. You know I never have thought about keeping my old clothes in case I gain my weight back. I just seems like a waste for clothes to stay packed up for years whether they're your skinny clothes or your fat clothes. I guarantee you that there are so many people out there hat need them! That's a really good idea about gaining weight back! And you better believe if my pants start getting too tight I will be checking what I'm doing and fixing it! Thanks for the blog comment!!

Love the colour and cut of your hair. I used dye my hair black with funky highlights but now that I'm a mom with a job in the public eye I keep choosing 'natural djavascript:%20void(0);ark brown' =/ I'm getting boring. Good luck with your weight loss!
