It was slow going and required extreme excercise for me to lose on avg. 3-4 lbs a week. But in a year i was at goal. I went back up to 160-165 range for the next few years and then last year I just started gaining and gaining. I got really discouraged because nothing seemed to stop the weight gain. Then I quit smoking and it really went crazy and i got so discouraged i gave up. That was a "HUGE" mistake and now....I have not only gained all the weight i worked so hard to lose back, I have also gained more. I'm currently at 211 pounds. It makes me very sad.
It is what it is though and belly aching won't fix it. So I'm looking on the bright side of things, and anticipating all the fun parts of a weight loss journey and the victories along the way. I'm hoping that after having some time without calorie restriction my body will once again start to respond and lose with healthy eating and regular exercise.
I recently purchased a book from runners world.com called Run your Butt off and I'm looking forward to getting back in to shape. I did my first walk in the program today. July 5, 2015.
Last year was all about quitting smoking, I now have in 19 months smoke free...Hurrah!!! This will be the year i reclaim my body and my health.

I'm currently back in college. Unexpected Career change when the hotel I managed was destroyed by fire. Looking forward to becoming a CCA and taking care of the elderly. I like knowing I will be making a difference.
I am married and we recently celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary, i have three wonderful grown children and a beautiful little grandson on whom the sun rises and sets.

I did have a good run, thanx! But it seems that our c25k programs differ somehow. My w2d2 includes intervals of 90 second runs and 2 minutes of walking. I will have 3 min runs next week. And I feel ready for this as I find the 90 min runs too easy. I'm not skipping w2d3 though, as I'm afraid that I might be wrong about it. So here's to us doing this
