In 2009 I reached goal with Sparkpeople losing a total of 54 pounds. I went from 206lbs - 154 lbs. It was very hard. It was slow going and required extreme excercise for me to lose on avg. 3-4 lbs a week. But in a year i was at goal. I went back up to 160-165 range for the next few years and then last year I just started gaining and gaining. I got really discouraged because nothing seemed to stop the weight gain. Then I quit smoking and it really went crazy and i got so discouraged i gave up. That was a "HUGE" mistake and now....I have not only gained all the weight i worked so hard to lose back, I have also gained more. I'm currently at 211 pounds. It makes me very sad.
It is what it is though and belly aching won't fix it. So I'm looking on the bright side of things, and anticipating all the fun parts of a weight loss journey and the victories along the way. I'm hoping that after having some time without calorie restriction my body will once again start to respond and lose with healthy eating and regular exercise.
I recently purchased a book from runners world.com called Run your Butt off and I'm looking forward to getting back in to shape. I did my first walk in the program today. July 5, 2015.
Last year was all about quitting smoking, I now have in 19 months smoke free...Hurrah!!! This will be the year i reclaim my body and my health.
I can and will do this and get back to the size i was in my profile pic.

I'm currently back in college. Unexpected Career change when the hotel I managed was destroyed by fire. Looking forward to becoming a CCA and taking care of the elderly. I like knowing I will be making a difference.

Look forward to sharing this journery with everyone.
Current Challenges... overcome the current obsticles in my life and find a way to fit exercise and healthy living into my life on a consistent basis.
I'm Natalie one of the Leaders of the C25K- Running for Beginners Team. I just wanted to welcome you and invite you to participate on the boards and in the challenges. If you have any questions feel free to post on the boards or shoot me a SparkMail. Happy running! :-) Natalie
Hey lady! Hope you're feeling better. Take care of yourself and take it slow. I'm sure your weight that you're so paniciky?? about is still a very good weight for someone of your height. You look lean and trim in all your pics. Anyway, take care!!
Heather I joined the NEW team...thanks for the invite. Not sure I am up to the couch to 5K program again. HOwever I did dust off my treadmill and my exercise bike and want to make a commitment to using both pieces of equipment ....It has been a long difficult and depressing period away from Sparkspeople....I remember how much support you, Joan and Mark gave me years ago....Joan and Mark are running marathons and, you joined the circus and are exercising like a FREAK and I have slithered away into a food coma...so disgusted with myself..........OK one day at a time...today I choose to follow my food plan and to reach out to people...i sure can use the support!!!!!
