Just keep trying! Every day is a new opportunity.

In no particular order the "Top 12 Things" that have helped me avoid gaining weight during stressful events.
1) Support from friends and family.
2) Logging on to Spark People daily.
3) Faith.
4) Eating a hearty salad with protien
5) Freezing 1/4 cup of juice in bottom of water bottle then adding water over the frozen juice. Yumm....I drink more water that way.
6) Walking the dogs every evening.
7) Visualizing ...

7) Visualizing cravings as little beasts and disciplining them by telling them "no" they may not have sugar. That way I do not feel deprived.
8) Decluttering house. It's uplifting and fights cravings.
9) Gardening
10) Enjoying the sunshine.
11) Hearty vegetable and bean soup in a rainbow of colors.
12) Eliminating most wheat products from diet.

It's the North Shore area on Oahu. My cousin lives there and we visited in 2009.
He's a former champion surfer and she designs beachwear. Tough life, huh?

I enjoyed your list of 12 things that have helped you.

We didn't have problems from wind/rain and the last expected one missed us. It has been cold again. I didn't realize anyone lost power. The weather has kept me off the river walk. I'm looking forward to warmer days.

I saw a post by you, I think, that inspired me: it noted adding things to your eating plan than just taking things away, adding teas and water and protein and eggs.
