I am 63 years old and want to lose 30-40 lbs and learn to live a healthier lifestyle as I do it. My plan is everything in moderation, eat at home more because we all know eating out a lot can ruin anyone's healthy lifestyle.
I am a grandma of 7 beautiful grandchildren, enjoy crocheting, reading and working on family ancestry.
I was doing Spark people a while ago and at that time I was grammy7070. I closed out and have started fresh, more motivated and ready for the new challenges.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 30-40 lbs. I plan on setting small weight loss goals which will be achievable.

My Program:
Everything in moderation and eating healthier foods . I want to get better with portion control as well as track my foods along with weighing and measuring the portions.

Personal Information:
I am married 44 years and have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. I work part time as an appointment coordinator.

Other Information:
I love to cook, read cookbooks like people read novels, crochet, do counted cross-stitch and I love doing genealogy. I also want to teach myself to quilt.

Good morning!

Thank you for the swimming gear! I have always loved the water as long as I can remember.

I am taking care of a 10 year old boy today so I think we'll go to the city pool where there is a diving board and water slide. He is a little to wild in my back yard pool. It's just the right size for me to swim around in and get some exercise or to just float around in but not big enough for kids that want to jump off things!

I got my 10,000 steps in yesterday but had to work for them. I had to play catch up around 9 last night to get them all in.

I'm working on getting my water in today and try for 10,000 steps again. I know you can get all your water in. That's great!

Kids are here so got to go.

Hi,

I'm off to a good start to the week being mindful of what I'm eating. I haven't been doing such a good job this past week or so.

I got up this morning and told myself to get with the program. (Yes I talk to myself sometimes. I use to have a shirt that said "Don't talk to me while I'm talking to myself.")

We're getting ready to have a cold front go through tomorrow and it's suppose to be in the low 70's the rest of the week. I bet it will be a little cooler where you live.

By the way, I love crocheting. I'm learning to knit and not doing that badly at it, although years ago I couldn't do it at all. I also like reading, but for some reason I don't do it as much as I did when I was younger. (Could it be my eyes? Or is it my mind getting lazy?) I should like studying ancestors, because my family is full of interesting stuff (as most families are). However, I've left that mostly to my sister, who spends lots of times on it.
