I want to RUN

Being in my early 60's, the weight doesn't come off easily. I know I need to exercise more and cut out junk food. Sometimes it's easy to exercise - I have time and motivation. Other times, I find it hard to even get off the couch or I'm so busy that a half hour isn't easy to find or I have someone visiting from out of town so don't want to give up time spent with them. There's always excuses but I need to step up and loose this weight. I'm not happy with myself and my clothes don't fit ...
Being in my early 60's, the weight doesn't come off easily. I know I need to exercise more and cut out junk food. Sometimes it's easy to exercise - I have time and motivation. Other times, I find it hard to even get off the couch or I'm so busy that a half hour isn't easy to find or I have someone visiting from out of town so don't want to give up time spent with them. There's always excuses but I need to step up and loose this weight. I'm not happy with myself and my clothes don't fit right. I'm not consistent with exercise and diet, so I'm hoping to find the support I need here to meet my goals.

I want to do the 50 state HM. I've done 6 (PA, AZ, FL, Washington DC, NM and TX). However, I had to walk most of each and want to be able to RUN all of the HM. That's my goal and is near the top of my "bucket list".

My Goals:
My new spring goals:

I didn't accomplish any of my fall/winter goals so I really need to step it up during this spring.

I have slacked off exercising and, as a consequence, have gained weight back and am not as toned. I NEED to get back to feeling healthy.
- stay within my calorie range
- drink more water
- exercise 6 out of 7 days (I'm going to try for 7 but I have to be realistic)
- loose 5 lbs
- Take vitamins every day
- ST at least 1 day a week

RUN, RUN, RUN a 10K. I can walk/run it now but I want to be able to RUN the whole thing.

Additional goals for the spring:
- Run 5 miles without walking
- Prepare for a HM in April and May. I CAN DO THIS!!!

Goals that have nothing to do with weight loss but that I want to accomplish:
- catch up on my 1-year Bible reading
- pray more
- be a nicer person and don't complain
- work on making my grandson's quilt
- install my storm door


My Program:
- drinking water
- trying to cut out junk food
- doing more exercise

Personal Information:
I live in central NY, which is beautiful, especially in the summer.

I have 3 adorable grandchildren that I see frequently. This is the reason I don't move someplace with better weather.

I work full time and volunteer in my community. I was a foster parent for several years but have finally decided I need time to myself.

Hi. Diane, it probably seems strange, but I also struggle with getting off the couch. For. M, ,W, F it's easier as I go swimming with a few friends. Another one has joined us, and it's fun to help her learn how to swim!! I now through life know I had missed a job I'd of Loved more than the accounting I went to college for,,,I m sure I'd of had a ball as a teacher.

When I'm sitting here, knowing to get up I do one of these, look up under. Blogs, see things from either someone who's new, thinking it out,,, that reminds me of how far I've come. Or of a longer time SPARKLER as I read their blog over, it kicks me into action with"hey if they can do it So Can I!!!

I may call a friend, I have who encourage me, and this is my main one ,,, not sure if you pray, but ill 'll talk to. God (most. Bible's use the name of. Jehovah, and other religions use it also, with so many. God's I want my prayers to go to the. Christian. God, not Alah, or a Budda, etc) I can at times do argue it out in prayer or just ask for a boost. Once said I know I. MUST work with my prayer,, so UP I GO!!

U r so. Very close to goal,,, it's great watching you making changes to help urself. Can always think about how encouragingly it is for. MaryAnn as she puts in ur time!! What u do affects others u have no idea of.

So let's lace up those sneakers!!!
