Where did my motivation go???

Getting motivation to exercise has recently been a chore; I have every intention when I get out of bed, but time slips away, and I rush out the door for work without doing anything. So hate that I am in this slump, so am trying to work through it and start reaching my goals.

Two years ago I did a print triathlon; I am thinking I want to do another one, which will make me pump up the tires on my bike and get to the gym to swim. Of course, I am also signed up for 2 half marathons, ...

Two years ago I did a print triathlon; I am thinking I want to do another one, which will make me pump up the tires on my bike and get to the gym to swim. Of course, I am also signed up for 2 half marathons, which I will run with my "older" sister.

At the present time, I am not happy with my life - no motivation, really want to retire NOW (although I LOVE my homeless patients), and want to be the "designated babysitter" (my DH is now, since he IS retired). Having a new grandchild in July, so want to be able to spend time with him/her (daughter does not want to know the sex until the "great event"). I want to hike more with my DH and dog.

Must leave goals around the house where I can see them.

Current Status:
GRANDMACOO is looking forward to picking 2 of our granddaughters up from school today. Third granddaughter will be come tomorrow to spend Easter with us while her parents and brother are at work.

My Goals:
It is time to get serious about my health. I am loosing flexibility daily, so my #1 goal is to stretch daily. If I can do that, I will be able to work on my triathlon training.

My Program:
I have signed up for a sprint triathlon in November, so I need to get busy training. I have a program to follow, but am not always consistent, because of work, home life, etc. However, my goal is to swim 3 days a week, bike 3 days a week, and run/walk 3 days a week. Some of the activities should be done the same day, so I will have a day of "rest" or cross training. I need to find time to stretch and strength train also, because both of these will improve my stamina, my flexibility, and my ability to bike, swim, and run.

Personal Information:
I have been married almost 38 years, am mother of 3 WONDERFUL daughters, grandmother of 6 grandchildren (3 boys, 3 girls). AND, we are expecting another grandchild in July - so very thrilled for my daughter and son-in-law! I am a Nurse Practitioner who cares for the homeless population, doing what I believe God wants me to do.

Other Information:
I love to sew and quilt; I am hoping to reorganize my life to work on some unfinished projects, although I am not sure how that will happen. I love to read, but seem to only get time when I am sitting in a waiting room. I usually carry a book in the car "just in case".
