Runnin' Fool

So, I sat down the other day and started thinking about this journey I've been on for the past couple years. Thinking about the progress I've made, the hurdles, the ups and downs...thinking about everything that has happened to get me to this point that I am at now. I've been a member on Spark People for over 2 years now. Before that time, my weight was a burden, something that controlled my self esteem. Now, I don't think I could ever go back to being that person - I don't think it's ...
So, I sat down the other day and started thinking about this journey I've been on for the past couple years. Thinking about the progress I've made, the hurdles, the ups and downs...thinking about everything that has happened to get me to this point that I am at now. I've been a member on Spark People for over 2 years now. Before that time, my weight was a burden, something that controlled my self esteem. Now, I don't think I could ever go back to being that person - I don't think it's physically or mentally possible for me anymore. The things I've learned on spark - how to eat, how to run, how to race. How to show my vulnerability and only become stronger from it. How to come out on top, even when I'm sinking. These lessons have been essential to the success I've had.

Last year, I signed up for my first official race - a half marathon. Someone warned me when I signed up, that I didn't know what I was getting into. While their comment was meant to be negative, in the end they were right. I didn't know. As soon as I crossed that finish line, my first thought was, "When can I do this again!"
A month later, I signed up to run a full marathon. My own father looked me straight in the eye and told me I couldn't do it. But when I crossed that finish line, I had the same thought, "When can I do this again!"

Here I am today. It's hard for me to imagine my life without running. While I may have lots of of progress to make, I'm still able to look back and see the journey in all it's glory.

I will continue running, loosing weight and fine tuning a healthy lifestyle. Thanks Spark People!

So far this one hasn't been great (BTB) but it's only been 3 weeks so I have to give it a chance. Everyone does tell me you know when you find the right one, but I've been on so many diff types (like you have) that it gets frustrating. It's like I will spend my whole life trying to find the ONE that works for me.

Your new hair do is super cute BTW!

Who is an amazing human with drive and determination. No one will stop you, know why?
