hey guys, i'm emily and i'm a freshman the university of minnesota.

i've had issues with my body that started my junior year of high school. i struggle with over/emotional eating, and i've been doing that since grade school years. none of the effects had caught up to me...until now, that is.

i'm hoping that i will be able to lose this weight without feeling deprived, and that it's not my "comfortable or natural" weight. i know that i'm not technically over-weight, ...

i'm hoping that i will be able to lose this weight without feeling deprived, and that it's not my "comfortable or natural" weight. i know that i'm not technically over-weight, but i'm still not comfortable with my body as of yet. but.. it's not just the numbers on the scale, i'm really just trying to live a healthy lifestyle, despite the many curve-balls i'm thrown daily. :]

My Goals:
• eat more fruits and veggies
• eat cleaner
• avoid mass amounts of pre-packaged or foods loaded with preservatives
• stick with healthy options when eating out
• work out every day
• drink a lot of tea & water
• track ALL food eaten
• be accountable for myself, no excuse
• don't lose sight of the prize
• be happy!

My Program:
• eating healthy, well portioned meals
• replacing my beloved Sprite Zero with skim milk at meals
• cardio 6x/week
• abs 6x/week
• burn 400cals every other day, 800cals the opposite days
• burn 3600-4800cals/week
• take in 1200-1400 kcals/day

I'm Emily, 18, college freshman looking to major in photography/journalism. I'm 5"4 and currently 135 lbs. :]

I'm also looking forward for Christmas. Got my tree up and everything already! I'm also looking forward to be a few pounds lighter by then.

heyyaa. knock on wood, it's going pretty well. yesterday i met up with my dads family & went out to lunch so i just got these thai lettuce wraps no sauce, then i went to a chinese buffet with my moms family. i don't like chinese food, so i just got sushi and shrimp & fruit. i used all my "over points" so for the rest of the week i just have to work out a little harder and just make wiser choices. i probably won't be at thanksgiving this year anyway, because i have work thanksgiving DAY and early black friday morning. there's always tons of left overs so i'll probably just have some friday or saturday. but other than that, it's much better for me i think, i can just picture success lol.

& i know what you mean about the drinking. the first time around on weight watchers, i was scared to death of drinking cause i didn't want to gain weight. theeeen, i "fell off the wagon" and drank like a fish..mainly to cope with my feelings. but it didn't help one bit; it just made everything a lot worse. now, an occasional drink here and there at a party is all. i'm not a drinker at all, so when i drink it takes me like 3 shots and I'm wasted. very embarrassing lol. anyway, as long as you pick yourself up and start over, that's all that matters. never give up!

you definitely got the right attitude, esp. just starting college. wish i had the same attitude at the time (and Spark, or even the internet for that matter, was still 7 years too young) and regretted not doing so. but it's ok, i'm well on my way to bettering how i was, even since my mid-20's.
