Here's to a Fresh Start

Hey everyone. I joined SparkPeople in January 2011, and I have been active on and off since then, but i have never made significant progress in my weight loss goals. I'm tired of being fat and unhealthy and making stupid choices/decisions. I graduated from college a year ago and I'm in the process of finding a job. I'm also turning 24 This month. It's time to shape up and make some changes in my life - for the sake of my confidence, my health, and my family history of diabetes/high cholesterol ...
Hey everyone. I joined SparkPeople in January 2011, and I have been active on and off since then, but i have never made significant progress in my weight loss goals. I'm tired of being fat and unhealthy and making stupid choices/decisions. I graduated from college a year ago and I'm in the process of finding a job. I'm also turning 24 This month. It's time to shape up and make some changes in my life - for the sake of my confidence, my health, and my family history of diabetes/high cholesterol - that will having a lasting impact on my life and lifestyle.

I have had all the motivation in the world, yet I've been lazy about actually DOING what I need to do. I'm definitely interested in meeting people and finding Spark Buddies to help me along the way.

I look forward to a Fresh Start!

My Goals:
I have several small weight loss goals, but my first big goal I want to achieve it to get down to the weight I was when I graduated high school. This means a lot to me. I want to be able to wear my prom dress once again.

My Program:
I'm going to try to work out 3-5 days a week for at least 30 minutes. I have a treadmill to use, and I'd also like to walk outside and utilize the local playground, which has hills and paths. As for eating, smaller portions and cutting out the junk (not all, but some).

I always use guacamole for my dip which is good for you but high in heart healthy fat. I don't think it's good to eat a lot of that though haha but sometimes I can't resist!

That's kind of what I do too, I don't like to waste food so I just keep eating. I'm trying to change it but I'm doing so by eating healthy foods. So even if I overeat, at least its strawberries I'm eating haha. A sneaky way to try and kick the habit.
