My Inner Goddess
Blueberry muffins I made from the recipe here
Hubby André and me on our wedding day in Oslo
My initial goal was to lose the 7 kilos I gained over three years of living in Norway, eating delicious chocolate and bread, making new friends over cake and cocoa, and living like a sloth. Now that I have been working out over a year, and making better food choices, my goals have changed. I don't care if my weight stays the same; it's what my body is made of that is important! I want to me strong, lean, and muscular, and to be able to buy jeans that fit in the thighs and don't stick out so much in the waist, that you could fit a football in there. (Who doesn't?) I want to nourish my body with clean, natural, whole foods, but still be able to enjoy cake and cocoa with those friends I made.
It's not about weigh loss anymore, although I have a few extra pounds to shed. It's about being a more healthy person, inside and out. Eating the right foods, striving to fuel my body with whole, natural goodness, and exercising my body, mind and soul. If I lose a few pounds in the process, that's just the icing on the cake. Mmm... cake.... (haha)
In 2008 I am eating clean, whole, natural foods as much as possible (striving for 90%), no more processed junk! I am working out at least three days a week, and going for 10,000 crunches this year.
Originally from So. California, now living in Oslo, Norway

The upcoming Mother’s Day provides a perfect opportunity to the women in my life. Have you ever noticed that women take care of others before they care for themselves? I am sure that this has something to do with biological functions, probably ingrained into our caring behaviors as children, but you need not have had a child to be a caring and loving woman and thus “mother others!”
Therefore, I wanted to express my appreciation for you in my life. Thank you for being you!
So often I meet women who say I am just a homemaker. Wow, that is a full time job in itself. Then I meet women who work one or two full time jobs, one being a homemaker, as well. It amazes me to see so many women who raise a family, cook, clean, and provide a shoulder to lean on . . . you are all SUPERWOMEN!! So I want to remind you to love how special you are to those around you. You are fantastic that you are balancing and juggling so many things at the same time. You are powerful and strong, you can become whatever you want, and you can say it with conviction!
Thank you for being you!
