Hello all.

I lost 100 pounds through WW and had my 4th anniversary of that loss on September 19 2014. I maintained for one year and then started a slow but steady gain. I managed to stop it when the gain hit 38 pounds and have so far re-shed five of those pounds. A lifetime journey indeed. I am back on Weight Watchers, which I find especially helpful as it now syncs with my Fitbit.

I am about 1 1/2 years into retirement and continue to volunteer, play my guitar, attend classes, and work at small consulting jobs. Retirement is working pretty well for me.

I continue to have major dental issues, and have finished with three dental implants. But, another sick tooth had to be pulled so I am looking forward--not--to a fourth implant.

Looking for continuing motivation and help with this lifetime journey!

My Goals:
To have a fit and healthy retirement!

My Program:
I am focusing on wellness of all kinds--fitness, nutrition, emotional, social. I love gadgets and use a fitbit, and have all kinds of applications on my iPhone and iPad to help me along. I am resheding some pounds through Weight Watchers and get activity points on WW through an automatic sync on fitbit. I still treadmill 6 times a week, lift light weights 3 times a week, and walk outside on the 7th day.

Personal Information:
My real name is Bonita, I am Canadian and live just north of Toronto. I trained in social work and am now retired from working in quality assurance in a social service agency.

My passion is classical guitar and in the photo I am playing one of my Yamaha's, this one a mid range performance guitar, solid wood, not a bit of laminate on him!

My favorite music is Renaissance lute music transposed for classical guitar. Think of the dancing music in "Shakespeare in Love" and Greensleeves to get an idea.

Hi
I am envious that you played at 8. I had ponies though and competitive parents who liked me to win. I did. I didn't get a guitar until I was 12 or so and then it was taken away from me. I didn't start lessons until 2 years ago.
I am only getting Laddo from next door, started. His Mum (who is lovely and on a budget as she is a stay at home Mum until her youngest starts school and then she'll go back to being a Social Worker) and I are great friends and gym buddies. She cannot afford £15 for 30 minutes with my boss, so I just teach him bits and bobs that my boss suggests that I teach him. The theme tune from The Simpsons last time, polished it a bit today and taught him the A Pentatonic and showed him how it worked everywhere. He is loosening his death grip on the neck of the guitar now :-)
His Mum thinks that he is on the Autism Spectrum but the education system won't test him. He's bright and wants to learn but will wander off at a tangent at the drop of a hat. I'm only here for another 4 weeks so will keep on with him before handing him over to Josh, from my works.

Thanks for the blog comment! Yes I heard about the heat wave in the East - we had it last week but now it's definitely gone! 8 degrees this morning at 6... ouch!
