Hello Halo1015: I have added you as a friend. We are on 2 teams together & you are ahead of me in both of them, SPoints & Fitness. We joined the same week, we are reading THE SPARK. You joined 2 days before me, I guess that is why you are ahead of me in the other areas! HAHA! Isn't Spark People GREAT?????

Have a sparkling day!

emoticon emoticon emoticon WELCOME TO SPARK!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

WooHoo... congrats on the 4 pounds lost!!!

Hi emoticon to Sparkpeople!!!!!!!!
I know from my own journey in this lifestyle change that SparkPeople has all the tools you need to succeed. And you will find a wonderful community and support system here.

What SparkPeople has done for me: I am a type 2 diabetic that is off all my medicine. (I was on 5 orals plus insulin now down to 1 oral which I go off of Feb 1, 2012). Let me tell you how God and SparkPeople have and are helping me: Wow, I have always been heavy and at my peak I was 345lbs. With Godís help and the tools on SparkPeople I have been able to lose 175lbs to date reaching my goal as of 2-2-12. I am now on a new journey of maintaining this weight. And I know with Godís help and SparkPeople tools you can do it too!!
(I have always recognized that itís God who has enabled me to be who I am and to accomplish all I have accomplished)

Keep a positive attitude and you'll make it. Remember this is about changing your life style not dieting. So do it little, in baby steps. Donít expect miracles right awayÖagain it is a life style change!!! And over time you will begin to notice the difference in how you feel, your energy level, and how you look.

Be sure to us your nutrition and fitness tracker daily. And track your water too.

Post your questions and concerns: Donít be afraid to ask question or seek out help. We are all on the same journey but at different levels of that journey.

Setbacks can be and are a part of this journey: Donít let them dictate your mood or progress. Let it go and keep moving forward. Keeping your focus on your goal and you will reach them in time.

Celebrate: Celebrate your accomplishments. (Set small goals for yourself so you have a way of seeing your progress) Do this through blogging, posting updates and rewarding yourself.

And for me I have always recognized that itís God who has enabled me to be who I am and to accomplish all I have accomplished

God bless you on your journey to a healthier you.
