An Encouraging Word

Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,

Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Sorry, I am remiss in getting back to you. Let's see today is Wednesday, Monday was sort of a normal day. Tuesday I did volunteer work for a local 'Blood Donor' day. Usually I just have to be there for 2nd shift which starts at 2:30 PM and goes until the last donor has gone home. The door closes at 5 PM sharp, no more donors are registered after than time. It was 7 PM by the time I got out and it is a 15-20 minute drive home. BUT,,, you did guess there was a "BUT" coming... I was asked to work a double shift. That meant that I had to be there by 11:30 AM. It made for a long day. No lunch but I drank lots of fluids (99% water that I brought from home). I prefer my well water to most others including bottled waters. I think I am getting back into my normal groove.

I hope things are going well for/with you. I keep running out of time. My days are just too short. Well, maybe I am just not managing my time very well... ya think?
Take care, Be safe and COMFY (not too hot, not too cold),
Hugs, Audra
