I am a work in progress

I'm a midlife wife, mother, RN, who likes to stay active and wants to keep it that way for the rest of my life. Have been overweight for 20+ years. I love dogs, I have a one year old Bichon Frise named Linus who likes to walk/run then plop down until I carry him.
My husband is supportive and joins me in diet/exercising.

My 25 yr old daughter moved home with us in 2012 due to career opportunities in this area. Happy to have her home and joining us in creating a healthy life style.

3/21/12- Starting over again after some difficult times with accompanying weight gain.

1/16/13 Started the BLC21 challenge today. Excited to join the Crimson Butterflies.

3/21/13 It's been one year since we adopted Linus and I restarted my weight loss journey. I was at my heaviest exactly one year ago. I've lost 35 pounds this past year and I'm pleased with the progress. My pledge is to continue this journey for another year and hopefully lose another 35 pounds.

2/19/14 I've gained back a bit but I'm determined to buckle down and do it right! I'm still a Crimson Butterfly in the BLC24 challenge. Love the Butterflies!

4) try to strength train with light weights.

Positive thoughts each day to reinforce healthy habits.

Hi Harriett, just dropping in to say hello and to see how things are going. I've been in for my artery surgery, and all went well, still plugging away at losing weight, I went with the Azure Team..a very busy team, but tons of support and encouragement! Take care!

Hi Harriett, hope this finds you feeling better! Yes I could kick my butt for trying to rush, and not taking the time to take the books out, I still think I'm 20 lol! I worry about things with these feet, they are quite bruised and sore..I have a friend that is losing his foot to diabetes..scares me stiff!
Take care, keep in touch!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. No, Sophie doesn't tear up her "babies", instead she totes them around in her mouth. Not sure what that's all about but it's adorable.
