I do as well. I especially feel bad for her now-college-age daughter, who's already struggling with chronic obesity-related conditions. The problem is that she's addicted to the feelings she gets when she overeats. Until she addresses the overeating, all that effort's going to come to nothing. She can work herself into a lather if she likes, but the overeating's going to destroy her progress. The good news though is that once she does overcome that addiction, she's going to melt like butter in a microwave. She's definitely got all the non-overeating aspects of fitness covered.
Practice doesn't make perfect. Proficient practice makes perfect. If the practice is shoddy, then it'll never lead to perfection.
