I will not be weak!

I discovered fitness at the age of 29 because although I was "skinny", I was weak. Back then, I could not run one mile at a 13:00/mile pace. Fast-forward 14 years, and I have run many half-marathons, marathons and ultras, including qualifying for and running Boston 2011. I struggle with a sweet tooth and tendinitis, so I still have my ups and downs. I'm hoping to get back into "BQ" shape and run Boston again when I'm 45.

Thanks for your comment on my “cover your cough” blog. Dad & I have since learned that lots of people at a dinner we attended contracted the same kind of respiratory illness that we did within 3 days of the event. We didn’t remember anyone in the dining room coughing, but perhaps one of the employees in the kitchen had to decide between coming in sick or not being paid. You just never know.

I love your interactions with your Mom! How awesome for both of you to share your lives.

Now I’m really psyched to keep up with those weights. When people see your buff arms, I want them to think that you got your genes from me.
