Early new year's resolution

My early new year's resolution is to focus on staying in calorie range. I've been practicing for about ... hmm ... a year and a half... So it's time to really give it a try. If I can stay in range more often than not I will drop some weight now during the holidays instead of eating and drinking everything and feeling awful by January.

My priorities for health:
-- Exercise almost every day, at least 10 mins, with a weekly goal of 15+ miles walking (incl some running ...

If I can stay in range more often than not I will drop some weight now during the holidays instead of eating and drinking everything and feeling awful by January.

My priorities for health:
-- Exercise almost every day, at least 10 mins, with a weekly goal of 15+ miles walking (incl some running intervals).
-- Limit alcoholic beverages. None at home. Moderate at social occasions.
-- Get to bed by 11pm almost every night, with a goal of getting 7 or 8 hours of sleep per night.
-- Eat more fruit & vegs than anything else. Nothing is forbidden, but moderation is a must.

Reasons I want to lose weight:
POWER
ENERGY
AGILITY
Wear fun clothes again
Eliminate pre-diabetes

What challenges remain:
Knees hurt so much sometimes!!! This will improve with weight loss.
Parties, evenings out, vacation, stress still push my calories up. I need to make some small goals and chip away at these bad behaviors!

What I tell myself:
If I can imagine the life that I want, then I can live that way right now and not put it off another day.

Current Status:
HAZELFRUIT Looks like I will stay in calorie range today. Gym treadmill definitely helps. I've been off track for probably 2 weeks.

Yeah, I know what ya mean. I lost 2 weeks in a row then gained then lost so I've not gotten a net loss yet. But I'm determined.
