Hello, I am a wife, mother and work full time. As a family, we love to hike, bike, and ski. I joined SparkPeople to help me achieve my goal of a healthier lifestyle. When it comes to diets I have tried almost all of them. I came across the Ketogenic Diet in 2016 and that has become my way of eating. I have joined a few communities on SparkPeople and FaceBook that give guidance and support for this way of eating. Each year I do become healthier by staying active. I have changed my southern eating habits to have the energy to enjoy a more active lifestyle.

Tore my ACL & meniscus in 2014 and had surgery that same year. It has been a real struggle recovering from the surgery and I have gained more weight on top of what I had already needed to lose. I also suffer from Hypothyroidism and have been working with my doctor trying to find the right dosage. It has been a real struggle these past few years. I am on a journey to achieve ultimate healthiness inside and out.

Ketogenic Diet - Low Carb High Fat way of eating. Consume 20 grams or less of carbs per day.

Personal Information:
Originally from the South but currently living in Utah in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains.

The husband and I are planning on a trip to Ireland for our 30th anniversary. So I want to be healthy and fit for all the sight seeing and Irish pubs. I have 5 years to achieve my goal and will be ready by 2022!!!!


Other Information:
I love crafts of many kind, but I am an avid crocheter. I can spend hours just crocheting.

Love to read mysteries and science fiction.

    I think today has been worse than yesterday. I desperately need to go to the grocery store and get some of the much needed staples we are missing....like eggs. OMG how did I run out of eggs and not feel the need to go to the store??? I also am out of pretty much everything the kids need to make healthy lunches....also not good. Its a result of refusing to do anything on my birthday that resembled running errands. Paying the price.

    My kids got nearly 200 pieces of candy between the two of them. We had about 1/4 of a bag left over that didn't get handed out too. I'm getting myself together from the sugar today and tomorrow I'm going to hit the ground running! Secretly I'm hoping exercise too but I'll let you know how that goes.

    Its been snowing here today and its pretty slushy...not boding well for the ice situation in the morning....hmmm ... sick day?! ;0)
