So, I'm back. Sparkpeople did wonders for me the first time around, then I got complacent. I made excuses. I came back multiple times, swearing this time was gonna be the real time. All that is in the past now. This is my reality. I am ready to be a healthier version of myself. I want to be able to RUN in the next 5K our family does. I'm sick of being that fat chick who comes in near the end of the race that everyone (including myself) says "no matter where you placed you beat everyone ...
So, I'm back. Sparkpeople did wonders for me the first time around, then I got complacent. I made excuses. I came back multiple times, swearing this time was gonna be the real time. All that is in the past now. This is my reality. I am ready to be a healthier version of myself. I want to be able to RUN in the next 5K our family does. I'm sick of being that fat chick who comes in near the end of the race that everyone (including myself) says "no matter where you placed you beat everyone sitting at home on the couch!" I'm ready to be competitive. My husband and stepson joined a gym recently, for their own reasons. I just happened to be along for the ride....I don't think my husband had even considered I may be interested in joining as well. Well.....I did! Now, my frugal side squirms at the monthly membership fee-but at the same time that's motivation to get in there and use what we're paying for! The membership included 4 personal training sessions, which so far have proven very informative. For the second time in my life, I honestly think I can do this, and so I will.

My Goals:
There's a number I have in mind, but I'm not going to focus on the numbers. This time around, I'm doing this for the mental and physical results...not just the numbers.

I do have a mini-goal in mind of losing 30 pound by my birthday, which is near the end of April.

My Program:
I am eating healthier foods, tracking and holding myself responsible for everything I eat, and trying to get into a routine of going to the gym every day.

Personal Information:
I am married to a wonderful man who totally "gets" me. We are working on preparing 5 children for the real world in the best way we know how. I have 3 children of my own (14 yo b/g twins & 1 6 yo girl) and 2 stepsons that I love as my own. We also have 2 of the craziest dogs you'll ever meet.

Other Information:
I enjoy reading, watching football (I'm a diehard Saints & LSU fan), and all things MMA.

Hi Heather, how are you?Been dealing with a fractured foot for the last 6 weeks..It's off as of last Friday so today I am going to try some cardio and see how things feel.Hopr things are well with the family...... emoticon
