My Journey to a Healthier Me!
Hello! My name is Heather and I just moved to Baltimore. I grew up in Wisconsin, so I still bleed Green & Gold! ;) My starting weight in July, 2004 was 240. I've been on SP since September, 2004 and I love the support from the coaches and people I've met on the message boards. Hello! My name is Heather and I just moved to Baltimore. I grew up in Wisconsin, so I still bleed Green & Gold! ;) My starting weight in July, 2004 was 240. I've been on SP since September, 2004 and I love the support from the coaches and people I've met on the message boards. I lost 80 pounds between July 2004 and July 2005, when a knee injury dampened my momentum. I am an emotional eater, and a perfectionist. I struggle with a bad all-or-nothing mentality. I need to constantly remind myself that every little victory counts, and forgiving myself is critical for success in this journey. My goals for November are: 1. Add two strength training days: Monday and Saturday 2. Get under 170 lbs FOR GOOD! (I'm at 171, so I hope to be there soon) 3. Maintain control - Stay in calorie range 80% of the days of November (24/30 days). REWARD: new red boots ********************************* REASONS TO STAY MOTIVATED: Daily list started 6/10/08 1. To prevent health problems 2. To live a long and happy life for myself, my fiance, and my family. 3. To be able to wear a bikini for the first time ever! 4. To prove to myself that I can do this! 5. To enjoy being active. 6. To have a nice butt! :) 7. To be proud when I look in the mirror. 8. To look fantastic for our wedding!!!! 9. To fit back into my size 10 pants! 10. To feel sexy. 11. To set a good example to others what a healthy diet and exercise can do. 12. To be able to enjoy active sports like swimming and basketball without feeling self-conscious. 13. To compete in 5K races. 14. To enjoy shopping. 15. To boost my self-esteem. 16. To be able to go into my closet and know that everything there fits! 17. To teach myself that balance in life is essential. 18. To find satisfaction and joy in conversation, relationships, the world around me - and not on food! *********************************

My Goals:
To be happy, healthy, and feel good about myself both physically and mentally. I'm 5''10" and my journey began at 240 lbs in July, 2004. Since joining SP in September, I lost 80 lbs and as of July 1, 2005, I was 10 lbs away from my goal weight of 150-155 lbs. Stress & life has caused me to regain some of that weight, but I'm looking to get back on track and achieve my goals!
My Program:
Taking better care of myself and making my health a priority! Maintaining a sense of awareness about what I eat and how much. Getting back into the exercise groove. My goal is to get back into running...slowly, as my knee will allow. My goal is to run a 5K. Cycling, ArcTrainer, running (4x/week) Strength (2x/week) Build myself back up gradually. I can't expect to be back in prime shape immediately!
Personal Information:
I'm 32 and originally from Wisconsin (Go Packers!). I'm currently living in Baltimore, MD.
Other Information:
I love the outdoors.
