Hello! My name is Heather and I live in Baltimore. My weight has fluctuated for most of my adult life, and I've had previous successes achieving my goal back in 2005 and again in 2012. Usually this has involved tracking on SP and lots of training for races, long distance cycling events, triathlons, etc. Since having my son in 2013, I'm facing the reality that all mothers (especially working moms) have - lack of time and often the energy to put myself first. My mentality as I begin this journey needs to change, as I no longer have the ability to go off for 50-mile weekend bike rides as I had done in the past. My focus needs to be on reigning in my eating.

I am an emotional eater, and a perfectionist. I struggle with a bad all-or-nothing mentality. I need to constantly remind myself that every little victory counts, and forgiving myself is critical for success in this journey.
