Time to get that weight to melt off

I am 27 yrs old, married with a 6 yr old. I am currently in school to be a Large Animal Veterinarian, but I still have quite a few years to go! I want to lose 160 pounds total. I've been a part of this site before, and I've made goals for myself, but I always seem to drop off the face of the earth after a few weeks. Life sneaks up on me, and I somehow stop worrying about my weight and go back to eating Oreos and drinking soda.

I've been a part of this site before, and I've made goals for myself, but I always seem to drop off the face of the earth after a few weeks. Life sneaks up on me, and I somehow stop worrying about my weight and go back to eating Oreos and drinking soda.
Just yesterday (2/8/13) I went to school and felt so abnormally huge. Bigger than normal, I dare to say. So today I logged on after thinking about life, and saw that in July of 2012 I weighted 317 lbs. For laughs, I weight myself today. 341. I wanted to cry. I gained all the weight back that I had lost over a year ago. I am just so upset with myself.

I have a large family history of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Over the past eighteen months I have had two family members die of complications with obesity. My husband and I are both out of shape and overweight, and we need to change it immediately. A year and a half ago I went on a diet and lost fifty pounds, but when I went back to school in January '12 I stopped following the rules and went back to old habits.

I want to be 180 lbs, which means I have to lose 160 lbs. I suppose there isn't a definite date to lose it by, but I would like to be able to move around without feeling like I'm taking up a football field. I would also like to not be one of the people my instructors point out as being the 'difficult' ones to save in case of an emergency.

First set of goals!
Goal of 320 lbs:
(Reward- A geocaching day in Delaware)

Goal of 300 lbs:
(Reward- Manicure and Pedicure)

Goal of 280 lbs:
(Reward- $200 towards new clothes)
