My Goals:
"For rather you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" I Cor 10:31.

The goal for my life is to bring glory to God. Specifically, in the area of my health, to choose the foods and exercise that will make my body as healthy as possible.

My Program:
For the next 8 weeks of the Summer 5% Challenge, I will follow the Zone Diet and note how my overall well being reacts to that. I plan to exercise about an hour on most days, incorporating stretching, strength training, and cardio exercise.

Personal Information:
I am from Colorado, but 20 years ago left the US to serve as a missionary. After having served in Venezuela and Taiwan, my husband and I have been serving in Honduras for the past 10 years.

7 years ago, I began struggling with pain, caused by muscular-skeletal issues. Reaching and maintaining goal weight is very important to help with pain control.

Other Information:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Oh my goodness. Fall 5% challenge is almost here. Are you participating this time? I was a cat in the summer challenge. I'm not sure which team I'll be on this time around. We were together on the starfish team, right? back in the spring.

So much for my memory!

Things have calmed down around the springs. Rough summer with the floods. Hope all of your family was safe and are doing well.

Happy October! emoticon

I wonder if the chronic pain and the stress it causes could affect weight loss? You do so much! Hugs, Laurel
