**2013**

This year is the year to make it happen. After being diagnosed with pre-diabetes last year, I made some changes and lost between 24-29lbs. Stoked? Absolutely! Can I do better and achieve much more and not waste any more time?

Heck.Yes.

I look forward to achieving more than I did last year. I won't allow myself to give up. Starting weight after Christmas till now (April 2013) - 229lbs.

There's nothing like being scared straight!

A recent doctor's visit in May has finally convinced me that being at an unhealthy weight and maintaining an unhealthy lifestyle does not promote long life. After crying and thanking God for a second chance, I have finally cut the junk out of my "healthy eating" and eliminated my excuses for not exercising as consistently as I should.

Therefore, I have decided to actually hold myself accountable for my actions AGAINST my body and my health. If I put in the work, I must see the results. For me to see results, I MUST work. So here goes...

Previous weight: 254 lbs (highest point from April 2012)
Current weight: 244 lbs (late June- start of July 2012)

***GOALS***
240 lbs - DONE (July 15, 2012)
230 lbs - DONE (September 2, 2012)

For now I'm stopping there because I know that if I just get under 200 lbs then I'm well on my way.

I'm going to need all the prayer and support I can get to beat this health risk. Thanks for all that you've given me but I'm greedy, I need more.

I can't wait to continue this journey with you!

I'm a talker. I love to say "Oh, I need to lose weight and I'm going to do it now." But I always fail in the first week. This year 2011, I really want to make a change. So many others have started the journey with me and have almost finished their journey.

There are so many goals that I want to achieve in my lifetime and if I continue the way that I am, I won't get off the ground. I want to be healthier, fitter, and more approachable.

Hopefully, with even more prayer AND hard work (faith without works is dead) I'll be able to achieve all my goals, fitness and otherwise, and catch up with all those that has gone before me.

2) Get to at least 130 lbs.
3) Learn to surf
4) Encourage my family members to pursue a healthier lifestyle, especially those who are struggling with their weight.
5) Travel the world!
6) Be physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy.

CARDIO:
20-30 mins (5-6 days/week)
STRENGTH TRAINING AND SCULTPTING:
Sparkpeople 17 min. Barre Workout - (1-2 x / week)
Sparkpeople 15 min Ab workout - (1 time/week)
WEEKENDS:
30-40 mins walking and/or Pilates
