Fresh Start

I've been yo-yoing, taking two steps back for each step forward, for a few years. I've gone from concern with my percent body fat (vanity pounds) to noticeable effects of extra weight on my health - time to make some changes! I'm committed to abandoning guilt and negativity as I find a happier place along with some room in my pants.

My Goals:

Historically, I've felt like I needed to reach X goal by Y day, or else. That hasn't gone too well, and time and time again I have failed to make a consistent effort toward my goals.

Thinking back to the time when I was in the best shape, I recall that it started almost by accident. I made some changes, then more changes, and before I knew it, the trainers at the gym were whistling at me (tee hee!).

So, this time, I'm giving up on looking like my old self. I've accepted my new, larger self. It's ok if I don't make it to my goal weight this summer, or before my friend's wedding, or before my big trip in October. Whatever size I am, I'm going to embrace my best self and live my life to the fullest.

So no more threats. No more benchmarks to hit.

My only goals are these:
1. make a little progress this week
2. keep going and don't quit

My Program:
Revised April 2013:

Eat a little better.

Move a little more.

Keep improving.

Set small challenges for myself as I go.

This week's challenge (4/25-4/31) is to exercise for at least 10 minutes AND track my food every day.
