Margaret now moving forward

All below is so dated now. Today April 10, 2014 moving forward. Each day taking step forward towards health.

It has been over two years since I started this last health kick. I went from being obese most of my adult life to being at the top of the normal weight scale now.

I feel healthier now than I did 10 years ago.

My walking/running has progressed from completing my first 5K in 47 minutes March 3, 2007 to finishing my first half ...
All below is so dated now. Today April 10, 2014 moving forward. Each day taking step forward towards health.

It has been over two years since I started this last health kick. I went from being obese most of my adult life to being at the top of the normal weight scale now.

I feel healthier now than I did 10 years ago.

My walking/running has progressed from completing my first 5K in 47 minutes March 3, 2007 to finishing my first half marathon in 2 hours 47 minutes on November 3, 2007. The fact that this non runner could improve this much is a testament to how much our bodies really can adapt to new demands.

I am becoming convinced that anyone without physical injury can do this. Aerobic conditioning really benefits us all.

This is for life. I love to eat, but now that I am more physically active, there are times I really want to under eat.

Each 5 pounds extra on my body is like carry around a 5 pound bad of flour.

Congrats on your journey. I'm just restarting mine - and know that through work, arming myself with knowledge etc will help, but it's really reading about real people and their journey that gets me more motivated. So thank you emoticon

I admire you for running in competitions; that must help you a lot in your weight control. I walk at least 30 minutes or more everyday but I have got to eat less so I'm going to count calories. emoticon
