I am a 33 year old stay at home mom of 2, a 13 year old and a 4 year old. I had my son when I was 20 and the weight came off easily....a lot of weight. I was 28 when I had my daughter and have found it to be much more difficult to get the weight off. I'm always home, rarely get a break, and have food at my fingertips all the time. I guess food has become a coping mechanism for me and I really want to get it under control. I have chronic pain in my neck, hip, knee and foot so exercise is ...

I guess food has become a coping mechanism for me and I really want to get it under control. I have chronic pain in my neck, hip, knee and foot so exercise is quite painful. I think, though, that is I can get some of this weight off I will feel a lot better and be able to exercise with a little less pain.

My Goals:
My goals include losing 35 pounds and begin to make some of my physical pain a little more tolerable. I have spondylolisthesis (backward curve to my tail bone)which has led to knee and foot pain, making it very painful to do any kind of impact exercise. However, I feel if I could lose some of this weight that has been plaguing me for the last five years, I would feel better and be able to do more. I just want to feel better about myself all the way around.

My Program:
I have begun to make some changes in my diet. My husband and son are very picky eaters and I have found myself eating the same way they do just because I don't want to make two (sometimes three; I have a daughter too; different meals. Instead, if they are eating something for dinner that does not appeal to me, I simply pop a Lean Cuisine in the microwave. I also eat a protein cereal for breakfast, instead of whatever the kids are eating. That keeps me full for a long time. With the pain I'm in all the time, it makes it very difficult to do major workouts, like I use to. Instead, I have recently started doing 10 minutes of a 25 minute workout video every night. I figured as the weight comes off and I build muscle, I will just be able to do more and more!
