I just moved to Illinois for a new life and a fresh start, and just recently joined a Planet Fitness down the road, and I am beginning my training for my first Warrior Dash summer 2013. Love Sparkpeople for tracking food and exercise! Also am trying to use exercise as a form of self therapy for my anxiety issues. I am a social introvert, and I find it very hard to make friends and find myself avoiding social situations at all costs. Even going to the gym by myself recently is a HUGE step ...

I am a social introvert, and I find it very hard to make friends and find myself avoiding social situations at all costs. Even going to the gym by myself recently is a HUGE step for me. I promised myself that by moving to Illinois to begin my new life, I was going to begin my new "me" as well. I would love nothing more to have a group of girlfriends to hang out with, and do "girly" things with once awhile.
**Update March 2013- I have recently gone through a cancer scare, and also need to get my blood sugars under control or I am going to be a diabetic. Time to get serious and REALLY take care of myself.

My Goals:
1.) Get into a healthy BMI range again.

My Program:
Cardio and strength training 5 days a week, alternating strength training every other day. Once the weather gets nicer, I plan on starting to run outdoors again. I have started to eat more fruits and veggies, and cut out a lot of processed food, carbs, and sugars since I have been diagnosed as a pre-diabetic.

I am originally from Northern WI but I now reside in Illinois.

I am good. I just finished the TruboFIre challenge about two weeks ago and am just making sure I keep up with running, HIIT and strength training.

Hey! That sounds like a ton of fun but I have another committment that day. I'm going to be my husband's DD for the Screw City Beer Festival that day. We're doing brunch with friends & then going downtown at 1.

Hey! Are you still a Planet Fitness member? I could really use a girl friend to do strength training with at the gym. I have good intentions of of doing strength training while I'm there… but then I usually get frustrated, bored, or intimidated by all the guys by the mirrors and go back to the stair master!

Would you ever be interested in meeting up for some strength training? Early mornings (6:00am) and evenings (anytime 7:30pm-9:30pm) are the times that work for me.
