Better! Stonger! Faster!

In January 2009 I started my lifestyle change. And although it is a though journey, I'm so happy I started! I started at the weight of 78kg, feeling unhappy fat and ugly. And now, almost a year later, I feel happy and I learned to love my body. I also learned what I'm capable of. I consider myself lucky to have found Sparkpeople, because it gave me the right tools to get started, and to keep me going. Thanks Sparkpeople, thank you my dearest SparkFriends for being here! And last but not least ...

I consider myself lucky to have found Sparkpeople, because it gave me the right tools to get started, and to keep me going. Thanks Sparkpeople, thank you my dearest SparkFriends for being here! And last but not least thanks to my boyfriend, he's my all time greatest fan and supporter!

I have never been really active, and I surprised myself this year what I actually have accomplished. And to remind me of that on the hard days, I started my personal Wall of Fame:

Ride for the Roses 25 January 2009:
2.7 km swim time: 1.17.00

Fatumloop 25 October 2009:
10 km run time: 1.03.12

HBN Law Marathon 6 December 2009:
10.5 km run time: 1.00.12 (now I can say I have a PR :P)

Ride for the Roses 24 January 2010:
5 km walk time: 1hr
2.7 km swim time:1.10.00

Run-Bike-Run relay 21 February 2010:
5 km
2.5 km

Aruba Half Marathon 14 March 2010:
21 km

Friday: Rest or 60 min Yoga

Saturday: 60 min Cross&Strength

Sunday: Long run

Personal Information:
At this moment I live in Curacao (Dutch Antilles) here I am enjoying a sabbatical together with my boyfriend for an unknown time. I did start looking for a challenging job in the USA and Europe. But have no idea how this will develop. I will find out soon enough!

Other Information:
I'm a book addict, love to go to festivals, watch movies and enjoy good music.

Anythings else? Well okay, I love chocolate (well, who doesn't) especially sprinkles on my bread!

Hey Ida, thank you for your comment and support on my blog. Honestly, I didn't realize I had comments on it... I am still new to the site but before you know it, I will have it down!

I LOVE your page, it ROCKS! It has a very great vibe and makes you feel like you should get up and run! Seriously! I was a runner in high school, cross-country. I can't wait until I can start again.

Congratulations on your progress. I hope to get to know you better and look forward to keeping up with your story!
