Part Two for real:

Like 95% of people I gained the weight back. I am divorcing from a 28 year relationship and I lost my thyroid to Graves disease. You know life, that thing you get while you are making other plans.

So I've returned to Spark where I last felt my inner invincible self. I'm putting one foot in front of the other; humbled by the graciousness of the Spark friends who have welcomed me back and cheer me on.

Part One:
I LOST 80 POUNDS SINCE OCT. 2008. 50 POUNDS SINCE JOINING SPARK PEOPLE IN MARCH 2009.

Spark People aligned with all my best intentions and choices and gave me the tools and support to get done!

I am Done being overweight!
I am Done being the fat girl!!

Because I got:
Done laying on my butt!
Done overeating!
Done not working towards my goals!
Done making poor choices!

Big thank yous to all the Spark People who have helped and encouraged me because you show me that even without full understanding I can achieve my goals.
I cannot possibly repeat this enough.

I didn't imagine this for myself. I've never been this small as an adult. You can achieve your goals even if you doubt. Never give up and surround yourself with positive Spark People.

July 15 2016 goal: weigh 192.

My new goal is to lose the 50 pounds I gained back and then maintain a healthy weight range: 140-145.

Ahhhhhh, you are my very own Jiminy Cricket...whispering in my ear, "Read Deborah's message on the inside of your eyelids: "Moderation". How can I be so lucky to know you & have you as a friend?
Unfortunately, I just read your message after walking 3 miles..but I DID walk slowly & broke it into segments, if that counts for anything. Your message helps me remember priorities: Is it more important to lose 4# by 9/16 or to avoid knee surgery and 3 months of recovery? Even a butterfly could answer that question.

Thanks so much for for caring & your encouragement.

Thanks for the hug and your support! I could really use it.

Yeah, if I let it, my weight would get away on me and I worked so hard to get it off and keep it off. 11 lbs gain was just not acceptable to me. I couldn't be cavalier if I tried. I could literally feel a fat roll on my back forming last week! I swear! I could feel it blooping out!

I got on the scale this morning and thanks to conservative eating (no more than 1550 cals a day) and burning around 300 cals a day I've lost another pound, so am down to 174 now. I haven't reported it yet. Don't care to do so right now. I might wait til next Tuesday (my weigh in day) and maybe it will be 2 lbs gone by then. I have yet to take measurements, but will do so next week.

We got some flooring last night at Home Depot! We found subflooring tiles that have styrofoam on one side and chip board on the other. We are going to install those first which means no more scraping!! Yay! I just have to get the loose bits of whatever is left there off the floor. We also needed something to cover the subfloor and as we were talking about it in the store I turned around and spied some "garage flooring" which is on a roll and is much like thin vinyl flooring. The thing is, it is exactly the length I need to fit in that room. It was like that garage flooring was meant to go in my studio. I don't know whether it's vinyl or plastic but I smelled it and it had no odour! So I'm hoping no off-gassing to add to the off gassing from the subflooring tiles. It all cost nearly $400 but I think it'll do until I'm retired.
