Looking forward to meeting new people!

Hello. I'm a widow with two grown daughters and a cute little cat. I was born and raised in Kansas and moved here to Texas in the 1970s where I've lived ever since. I enjoy working jigsaw puzzles, reading Harry Potter (I love the movies too!), watching tv (I like NCIS, Castle, and all of the shows on Fox News.) My favorite magazines are Birds And Blooms and Good Old Days. I'm an animal lover and enjoy spending time in the backyard and watching the birds.

Hi, I just dropped by your page to say thanks for taking the time to read my blog and leave your comments about Bear, my Houdini-impersonating dog. Beats me why he feels the need to go wandering, but, as you say, at least he comes back home again.

I think the expression on my face, and just those few words of disappointment - 'Oh Bear, why do you keep doing that?'- must have made him see how much he was disappointing me. He's a bright little dog, and can always sense when something is wrong - with me, or with either of his two 'brothers'. He rolled over on to his back instantly, and whined, and all the time I was out in the wind and rain again, he was there, leaning against whichever part of me was sheltering him from the worst of the weather.

No attempts to escape yesterday, no holes in the wire today, and he hadn't even tried to chew through the shade cloth mesh overnight or this morning. I'm hopeful, not claiming success yet, but hopeful...

Your beautiful Gibbs looks like she would be such a sweetie. My Rani puss is seventeen years old now, and we've been together since she was just under a year old. We've reached the point where I know what each of her meows mean, and she knows what I mean when I say something to her. She's arthritic, has hyperthyroidism, and now spends most of the winter days on her cushion near by her own cat-safe heater, napping, and her nights sharing the heated blanket on my bed with me.

Chris.

Thank you for the rose goodie. Yes our little male schnauzer was such a sweet baby. And missed greatly by all of us and Daisy our female schnauzer misses her companion as well.
