I thank my precious Abba Father (Creator God) for all He has allowed, is allowing, & will allow in my life! May all the glory for any modest successes achieved on this lifestyle changing journey be His & His alone! Amen & Amen!

Life is good - it always has been - however, there is a special new sweetness to it since I determined to stop playing around & get serious about following my program.

Like I said - life is good!

P.S. ~

The 'Twin Visitors" photograph was taken in early July. I looked out the window & had the pleasant experience of being eye-to-eye with one of them. Their Mama was right with them in the trees outside the window. They were so adorably cute!

My dearly treasured "Mr.V" quickly got the camera & took a few photographs. I think it is so cute how one seems to be posing for the picture to be snapped, while his twin is eagerly following their Mama!

It is for us to make the effort. The result is always in God's hands. –Mahatma Gandhi, Indian political leader

Do your best and leave the rest to God.

Take a moment at 3 tomorrow to remember those who gave all for us so we can enjoy the freedoms we do.

I like to just get into the pool and float on my back. I don't need a raft or anything to lie on. I can float and almost fall asleep while doing it.

This morning, the pool filter kept tripping the breaker. This evening it worked fine.

My mother wanted to teach me to do household chores. My Dad said, "Leave her alone, she will have to do it soon enough." Well, here is an example of how hard it can be to not know what to do. I was in my 50's, before I learned to wipe the dust away with a cloth or duster before spraying the surface with polish. I would be trying to dust with "dust goo" of dust and polish and it would take forever to spread it out and get a shine.

When I was taking care of Mom and her apartment, I found Flylady. I follow the site at I can do it when I have someone telling me specifically what to do. When I clean on my own, I get sidetracked.

I think if I had seen expired food at your mother's house, I would have set it aside for her to dispose of. That way if she wanted to get more, a grocery list could have been made.

My sister pays Merry Maids to clean. My sister is very arthritic and cannot stand, but for a few minutes. Still she told me that she ran the vacuum and mopped the floors for the last get together at her house. She was the one that had to help Mom with chores and Mom was a great homemaker. It is easier to bake and do stuff if the kitchen is clean and organized. It is also easier to keep the house presentable by doing housework daily instead of trying to do it all in one day because company is coming.

Well, I have to check on the pool, it is 11:11 PM. I have had cramps this afternoon and evening. Maybe it is just nerves because we are supposed to go to one of the lakes tomorrow where our son and his fiancee and her family are.
