Improving Me!

Are you spending your time doing what you really want to do? I know that I wasn't -- and a good part of the reason was that I didn't have enough energy. I had been especially disappointed in myself for gaining extra weight over the past few years, so when I woke up one morning in December 2009, I decided that it was high time to quit procrastinating. I needed to make some positive changes in my life. So here I am, trying to improve myself!

I needed to make some positive changes in my life. So here I am, trying to improve myself!

Fast forward to January 1, 2014 ~~ I've made many improvements over the past four years on SparkPeople, but I'm still working to be a better me! This program helps me to focus more on my health, and I have made many great SparkFriends whose strength, motivation, and encouragement have helped me along this life journey.

Thank you, SparkPeople!

Hi,

Thanks for visiting my page and for your nice comments. I am doing ok but I seem to get tired a lot. I have to keep having blood drawn at least once a week to check my INR level since I have to take Warfarin (cumidin) right now. I am losing weight very slowly but hanging in there.
We had a hard rain and hailstorm a couple of days ago. I think winter is coming too fast!
I hope you are doing well. Nice to hear from you. emoticon

Thanks for the comment about Volkssport. I had learned about them once before - but had forgotten all about them.
I now have the organization's page bookmarked, and will see what is local. It has also led to other sources-- all very helpful.
Thanks so much, my friend!

Thank you, my dear Sparker, for your relaxing music goodie. It was greatly appreciated, as were your encouraging words.

I see that you like motivational quotes. I especially like these two:

1. Life doesn't come with a remote control. You have to get up and change it yourself.

2. What would you get, if all you got was what you gave thanks for?

Thanks again,
Monica (Satchmo99)

I have also started to track again. It will get me in line more quickly.

It sounds as if you have been busy with grandkids too. What a treat they are!

Here's to downward progress again for both of us.
