I had been especially disappointed in myself for gaining extra weight over the past few years, so when I woke up one morning in December 2009, I decided that it was high time to quit procrastinating. I needed to make some positive changes in my life. So here I am, trying to improve myself!

Fast forward to January 1, 2014 ~~ I've made many improvements over the past four years on SparkPeople, but I'm still working to be a better me! This program helps me to focus more on my health, and I have made many great SparkFriends whose strength, motivation, and encouragement have helped me along this life journey.

Thank you, SparkPeople!

I have also started to track again. It will get me in line more quickly.

It sounds as if you have been busy with grandkids too. What a treat they are!

Here's to downward progress again for both of us.

Thank you for mentioning the poem "The Cat" by Iverson. I subscribe to the Writer's Almanac and was immediately taken by the poem. My cats, too, find endless fascination and mystery in a dried pea. Until they don't and then they turn their back on it. In the meantime, it's provided a great time for them and headlined their very own "News of the Day" Gazette.

Thank you!
