On my way!
I found SparkPeople a few years ago, and it was instrumental in helping me lose 30 lbs. before my wedding in '07. Unfortunately, after the ceremony, my hubby and I got right back on the junk food wagon. But now he and I are ready to commit to making a change in our lives, and working together to meet our goals for a healthy, active lifestyle. We want our future kids to have the advantage of being raised with good eating and exercise habits, and to have parents who can keep up with them! ...
I found SparkPeople a few years ago, and it was instrumental in helping me lose 30 lbs. before my wedding in '07. Unfortunately, after the ceremony, my hubby and I got right back on the junk food wagon. But now he and I are ready to commit to making a change in our lives, and working together to meet our goals for a healthy, active lifestyle. We want our future kids to have the advantage of being raised with good eating and exercise habits, and to have parents who can keep up with them! We also have two adorable Miniature Australian Shepherd boys named Finn & Brody, and they are always happy to help me get in a little workout with a walk or some play time! They came to us through a rescue group, and they are the sweetest dogs in the world. There is a great need to find loving, forever families for homeless pets, and I am passionate about preventing abuse and neglect, and educating people about responsible pet ownership. Most importantly, I love the Lord with all my heart, and seek to serve Him in everything I do. By His grace and mercy alone, I have been redeemed, and I will not take for granted one second of the new life that I have been given in Jesus!

My Goals:
* Get back down to between 130-140 lbs and MAINTAIN IT! * Develop healthy habits that will continue throughout my life
My Program:
Just keeping it simple -- keep the calories low and try to hit the gym as often as possible. I'm also finding it very helpful to keep some low-cal snacky stuff around, like air-popped popcorn and lots of fruits and veggies. As for my sweet tooth, I satisfy it by eating a single individually-wrapped square of dark chocolate. Yum!
