Hi, everyone. Isn't SP great! I'm 50+, was very thin as a child, but after 2 children and hitting age 40 the weight crept on, and there were other priorities demanding my attention. Now I realize my health has to be priority #1, and join you on this journey to feeling and looking better!

My Goals:
I'd like to get better at eating properly and exercising regularly, and as a side benefit would like to lose about 40 lbs. But feeling better is the real objective.
My Program:
My nutritionist suggested eating 1500 to 1700 calories per day, as fewer is likely to make my body feel starved or deprived. However, my real obstacle is that I can't (yet) seem to stay with an exercise program. I need to MOVE! Until and unless I do that, I'll never get to feeling healthy. Why is that so hard?!?!??!!!
Personal Information:
I'm a "next chapter" librarian, living in a pretty rural area in New England. I was a skinny child, but that sure has changed! Pounds crept on once I hit 40. After I quit smoking about 15 years ago, cigarettes went out and "Ben & Jerry's" moved in! I now eat very little ice cream, but sweets and cheese are still hard for me to take in moderation.
