I got the link to your blog from Claire. Loved your pilgrimage. My husband and I also love to travel. Not sure that I could do the pilgrimage, but would love to try. Better get myself out and walk!

Thank you so much for the explanation about sink holes, that is fascinating (and a bit scary too)!!!
You made me laugh about how you coped with being afraid of heights in Spain! Oh my goodness that must have been quite tough... But there is no better way to deal with one's fears than to face them I suppose. As long as they aren't paralysing.

Wow, your offer really made me think. Thank you! I mean I do fully realise that today I wouldn't be fit nor slim enough for such an adventure (and there is always a pain in my left knee which I hope will go away when I have lost more weight). Also I would need to properly get ready for it (by the way, I think it would be really interesting if you wrote a blog about how you got ready? I would love to hear as I know today I would physically be completely unable to walk such distances, especially uphill/downhill).
But it sounds so appealing... Also, I had been surprised not to see any big backpack on your pictures. Now I understand better and it makes the whole thing so much more bearable (the backpack is really what I would dread the most, as well as the uncomfortable places to stay... but it looks like everywhere you stayed was very comfortable! maybe that's better in Spain... have you seen the movie The Way? I was a bit traumatised by it that way, haha).

Ohhhh so many things to think about, I love that! It is helping me look ahead, which is precious for me this week. Thank you!
