Enlightenment means choosing to dwell in the state of presence rather than in time. It means saying yes to what is. ~ Eckhart Tolle

NOW is the only time any of us have so I need to improve my life NOW. This can either be a terrible time full of negativity and work - or - it can be a productive time full of achievements and enlightenment. In the past, I have chosen the first way. I have grown a lot spiritually and personally ~ and yes, physically :) ~ and now, I believe I can do this the right way. I do know that the ONLY one who can do this, is ME.

Well...nothing very helpful from me, I'm afraid. I have decided that some of the time I'm making it too hard for myself and to keep it simpler and more manageable. I'm sticking with my plan and know that if I hit my target most days and don't go over by tons the other days, I'll get to where I want to be regardless of how much time it takes. Also, while I know exercise is important, I'm not stressing myself about that either. Do what I can when I can, and forget the rest. Not worth it to me to be beating myself up b/c I don't do enough. So, as you can see...no words of wisdom here. Bottom line for me is, do the best I can and move on! Thanks for stopping by, Peggy. Have a great day!!! Will be thinking about you1 Love, Jeannie

Thanks for your caring comment on my blog "Incredible Pain for My Cousin Today". It is just such a heartbreak and it is sad when you know all you can do is be there for that person. Thank you for reaching out...I really appreciate it. emoticon

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog yesterday!! Wowee....you did have it real cold!! OMG....I am glad it is getting a wee bit warmer for you though still frigid! Today we were back up to 32 so it was "shorts" weather after what we had the last couple of days :)! Just off work -- very long and crazy day. Have a great night! emoticon

Pedal pushers...I think they call them capris now, right? LOL! Think you might have trouble riding your bike in the snow, although I lived in a university town for quite a few years and yes...there were a few students who road their bikes all year long...including with a LOT of snow and ice on the streets. Don't know how they did it and never wanted to give it a try. I am glad to be in AZ right now since it has been so cold at home. -21F last night where my Mom lives. I know that's not a lot compared to what you probably routinely get, but still cold. It's the wind that goes with it and made it feel like -55. Brrr! Hope your week is going well so far! Stay warm!!! Love, Jeannie emoticon emoticon

We are very much similar! Thanks for your kindness and remarks. I tend to be very nostalgic about things but I know my kids (having been a single parent to them most of their lives) appreciate my stories. I have a lot of ornaments the kids did when they were little. I also bought them an ornament each year (i.e., son, daughter on the ornament) and hopefully will give them all of them in a nice box when they have their own home to carry on the tradition. I think it is important to make traditions and to instill "family" even if our family is just the three of us. My immediate family all live in California and my Dad is in Florida so I don't see them like I would like.

Have a wonderful day!! emoticon
