I went to Weight Watchers for several years off and on and did lose, but then put it back on when I stopped going.
In September 2010 when I discovered Spark People and read the book, it really got me motivated to make a decision. I decided I wanted a healhier lifestyle and knew I needed to make a change. I needed to do his on my OWN.
Spark got me going and kicked in and I realized it was up to me to be STRONG and FOCUSED. Motivation is great on this site.

NOW - July 21, 2015 I began a New program on a Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. I went to a dietician and wellness doctor. They encouraged me to eat whole grain and healthier meals. I track daily and this plan keeps me going and motivated. I exercise more often now that I am completely retired and that helps too. I believe this is the best plan for me. Hope i can stay STRONG and get to goal in this new journey.

My Goals:
To lose the weight needed to be healthier and fit for Lifetime following a plan each day.







My Program:
Eating WHOLE Grains and following the Mediterranean plan for life and wellness.

Track all meals and portion control daily.

Exercising 5 days a week.

Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day.

Always remembering, to Pray and Thank God for His love and guidance in my journey every day!


Personal Information:
I live in Ohio, a suburb on the west side of Cleveland.
I have three adult children, two son- in- laws and three precious grandchildren.

My faith and my family are very important to me.

I babysit when I can to help my kids out and enjoy it.

I am active in my church, volunteering in many groups.

I belong to the YMCA and my Recreation center and 5 days a week go to classes and use the other benefits they provide.

I love to read, do the daily crossword puzzle, love music, walking outdoors and on a track.

I enjoy cooking, trying out new healthy recipes, and spending time with close friends.

I try to laugh at myself each day and not take things too seriously.

So sorry you are feeling miserable. Take care while using antibiotics. Occasionally they cause more trouble than they cure. If you have problems, just try a salt solution spray.

And I am on med for upper respiratory disease. We are a fine mess but we can lick it. And yes the cough is very wearing.

Oh, Acute Sinusitis is awful! I suffered from it off and on for many years...and then bronchitis to the point I was in the hospital with COPD and Doctors fighting over wether I had emphysema (I did not)! I was put on oxygen 24/7! I think the fact I do not work anymore was the biggest help...I got sick constantly being around the public (I was in a school / office building)! And there was talk about mold and issues with the building! I hope you feel better in a few days! Take it easy!
Oh Ei, I think I missed your birthday! Was it Jan 31st? So sorry! Mine is Sept 27th! Will make sure I don't forget it again! You will go on my calendar!

Hi Irish Ei,
Well, Happy Birthday to you too! Mine was on January 17 and it was a milestone one. I was 75. I am a Capricorn, a stubborn goat. LOL I shutter to even put that number down because I feel more like 57. I had a week of parties and one of my daughters came from Minnesota for a week's visit. In the wake of it all, I am totally off my plan and have gained about 5 lbs. So now I have to start all over again to figure out what to do with this eating.....I have been walking every day and meeting my steps, so that is one good thing. It was good to hear from you. How are you doing with your weight?
