The best is yet to come!

Hi. Thanks for checking out my Spark Page. I'm Eileen and people call me Ei. I live in Ohio!

Isn't SparkPeople.com wonderful? I really love it and it sure is helping me in my journey. This website was recommended to me when I asked my doctor how I could lose weight. Wow! I am so glad I asked her that question!

I went to Weight Watchers for several years off and on and did lose, but then put it back on when I stopped going.
In September 2010 when I discovered Spark People and read the book, it really got me motivated to make a decision. I decided I wanted a healhier lifestyle and knew I needed to make a change. I was doing the WW Points plan-- on my own with the help of Spark People.

Spark got me going and then the new WW Points plus plan came out and I decided to change from WW points- on my own to the new plan.
In December of 2010 , I re-joined for the new WW Points Plus Program for three months. It was a early Christmas gift to myself, since I know ----I am worth it!!
Now, since early March 2011, I am doing the program on my own. I have a long way to go, but know this program will keep me on top of things.
I have a few health problems that sometimes interfere
with my exercising plans, but am striving to improve on this. I am hoping my health will actually be much better by my activity and healthier lifestyle.
One day at at time I will get there. It may take me longer than I planned, but I will not give up. My journey is moving in the right direction and I am on this with all of you. Let's help each other get there. Thanks for being here Spark People!

Thanks for your support and encouragement. I really appreciate and really, because of all my dear friends here, I've decided to stick around, but just won't be around as much. I'll keep trying no matter what. I can't get off Prednisone because right now that's practically all of the pain med. I'm on with having RA. My Rheumy took me off of Orencia and Plaquenil (RA Meds.) because he felt they weren't doing their full job. And then he started me on an RA med. called Xeljanz, which takes anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months to kick in, so this is why I'm on more Prednisone to compensate for the others I don't have in my system anymore. I just need to distract myself more from getting the hungries all the time. So I'll still keep being on here because I do love all the tracking we can do, and even for free. Thanks again!

Hugs, Karen

“The chief beauty about time is that you cannot waste it in advance.
The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you, as perfect, as unspoiled, as if you had never wasted or misapplied a single moment in all your life. You can turn over a new leaf every hour if you choose.”

I hope your having a wonderful Tuesday. When I was a kid growing up, my mom took us girls, (my sisters and I) to nursing homes very often. We didn't know the residents personally, but had a good time visiting them and they seemed so happy to see us. My three sisters and I sang songs for them and they didn't want us to leave.

My sister-in=law wrote and published a book. The name of the book is ( Oaklayne, The Reconstruction ). It's about an old Civil War saga and it's home and reconstruction. I haven't gotten very far into it yet, but I know I will enjoy it.

The weather is getting better and I have opened the windows to air out the house. I have looked forward to these days for a long time. I took a mile walk yesterday and I think it really helped my breathing. Fresh air is a gift from heaven.

Bless you my dear friend. It is so great to have a friend like you.
God Bless you. emoticon
