Counting calories and exercising, both aerobic and strength training.
I live in So. California and love the outdoors. Through good health we can live longer so my goal is to drop the extra pounds and stay healthy. Since June 2009 I have lost 9.7 pounds. It's been slow but so gratifying. I have discovered the Sparkpeople exercise videos, joined a few teams, track my food religiously and have become an exercise addict. I don't let a day go by without doing something, even if it is a 30 min walk or a 5 min video.
I'm not on a diet-- just a lifestyle change. As I get older I'm realizing how important it is to give it your all. Why has it taken me so long? I do try to keep my carbs at around the 100 to 120 a day and my sugar is very limited. It works for me. I never feel deprived.
