Previously, I could control my weight by making "temporary" adjustments, but I never really learned how to properly analyze my eating, change bad habits, and make sustainable long-term changes that would contribute to an overall healthy lifestyle. With Sparkpeople, I now realize that this is a lifelong journey...and I truly believe that I've made changes that will remain with me for the rest of my life. Of course, every day is a new learning experience--and that is exciting!!

Hi - don't worry - the challenge is confusing at first. It may not start for another week or 2 yet as they are still crunching numbers after the last one. Best thing is just to log in regularly - you can put a shortcut on your device (computer? Tablet?) or you can also find the link at the bottom of your start page. In a nutshell, all you do is post your exercise minutes and whatever else the teams are tracking that week. The more team members that post, the more points the team gets - that's it really! It's nice to be accountable sometimes and the team atmosphere is encouraging! I'll walk you through it when we get started!

Welcome to the Fall 5% Challenge Team!

It's really fun - for 8 weeks we add up our exercise minutes and they are counted as miles - first team to land the plane gets extra points.

Whichever team you wind up on, I'm sure it will be great!
