I have been living and working as a missionary in Eastern Africa since 2007 with my husband and three kids. We just moved to a new country and are in the process of learning a new language and culture. Major transitions!

I enjoy experimenting with different recipes and am always coming up with something new for the family. One of my goals this time around is to have cooking to meet our family's needs be less stressful. My daughter has Celiac's disease so I need to cook gluten-free ...

I enjoy experimenting with different recipes and am always coming up with something new for the family. One of my goals this time around is to have cooking to meet our family's needs be less stressful. My daughter has Celiac's disease so I need to cook gluten-free as well as please the rest of the bread lovers in our family.

I'm not one to spend a lot of time online so I will update my user page as able :-)

My Goals:
These are a work in progress hopefully to be reset in the next couple of weeks.

My Program:
-I am tracking with Sparkpeople and on an almost daily basis.
- I will begin by exercising 3 days a week at least 1/2 hour each time.
- I am determined to make this a lifestyle and not just a diet.
- I'm learning to eat the portions that I need and will start 100 Days of Weight Loss Jan. 1st.

Personal Information:
This last year has been a struggle with changes in country, language, culture and many other transitions... but I'm back on my feet and motivated to continue.

I saw you said you feel hungry right after eating porridge (hot cereal, right?) This will sound crazy, but I often put cottage cheese or protein powder and a tablespoon or two of nuts or seeds (only one of nut butter) in my oatmeal. I realized I could treat it like a grain and make it savory. I also often add nutritional yeast. But I sometimes use fruit. Anyway, I find it very satisfying.

Hi, Sunny...It's great to have someone else in my time zone (or thereabouts) who's starting the 100 Days today!
