Look mom I'm doing it

I am a married mother of 5 kids great kids, I try to do my best everyday. I have a rare muscle disease that makes exercising more difficult but do NOT feel sorry for me, I am not here for pity and I don't feel sorry for myself.

Thank you for commenting on my blog, "The Memorial Service For My Mom." It was great to see people that I hadn't seen since I was nine years old and to talk to them. Many had memories of my mother, she was a prankster.

I had a friend from school come to stay for the weekend and Mom made tomato and lettuce sandwiches for us for lunch. Mom put a napkin on my friend's sandwich and when she tried to bite into it, she couldn't bite through the napkin. She pulled the sandwich away from her mouth and the napkin started to come out.

We had a pass-through from the kitchen to the dining room and Mom was looking through the pass-through laughing at my friend. My friends loved my parents. My cousin said he felt like he had two sets of parents- his parents and my parents. I was glad it didn't break down into a sad, tearful event. Mom was 91 when she died.
