JANEDOE12345 is a SparkPeople Motivator!
I am 63, an Aquarius, live alone and work full-time. My days are spent walking from one piece of holy ground to the next, as is true of everyone; if only we could be more mindful of it.
"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." Einstein
What a gifted life I lead, blessings and good fortune and opportunity - all conspiring to make me happy. I recently read this: "Any God small enough for us to understand isn't big enough to do us any good. " Neat concept, huh?
Life does gets complicated all of a sudden, but then it calms down in the ebb and flow of growth. Then it cycles all over again, rinse and repeat forever and ever.
Just to lose some poundage. Any amount is fine!
Watching what I eat but not following a program or diet.
Whirling through life but often quite down to earth. Love my two cats, sci-fi movies, any and all music (playing at all times), my e-devices, art, clothes, shoes and anything else that falls within my sight. The ultimate know-it-all Aquarius who is into everything.
How you do anything is how you do everything...but don't let perfect be the enemy of good.
"Nobody wins unless everybody wins."
Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.- Anonymous
"With reference to those few parts of the universe to which I have been exposed, I have absolutely nothing profound to say about anything at all. Not one pompous, overwrought gem of wisdom. Not even a syllable of insight. " (Me)

Don't give up yet! And don't let perfect be the enemy of Good. Wait. See what happens. My brother once said to treat teenagers like wild animals----let them approach *you*. Maybe sometimes that applies to people with mental illness? Be patient, at least for a bit. Holidays are stressful. Who says Christmas has to be celebrated ON Christmas? Having lived in NYC, I relished doing ANYTHING on Christmas, when I couldn't visit family: I could watch a movie, I could eat Chinese or Indian food, I could shop, etc.
Be open to what gifts Christmas can bring, and maybe lower expectations. But that doesn't mean letting your *self* down: pick what is important to you, and hit some of those sweet spots.
And be flexible about dates...(take that as you will).

Apparently, I'm being gifted w/ a Garmin Vivofit 2. I'm glad he made sure it was swim-friendly! I don't need high-end---I'm not, and those things usually have more that can go wrong.
See! I *did* learn quite a bit while living up North: don't throw money down the drain.
