Hi Jane,
Thanks for your suggestion on my blog. When I lived in the USA I had a crockpot, and I used it at least 2-3 times a week. (I was at that time a single divorced mom homeschooling and working two jobs - it was a life-saver!) I had some GREAT recipes. Believe me, I have thought of that for here in Kenya, and I've searched all over looking for one -- but I haven't found any. I had even toyed with the idea of trying to bring mine over from the USA last time I was home, but it was just too heavy. I'm sure they must have them somewhere... probably in Nairobi... I just don't know where to look. A crock pot might save money too. Right now I cook on a 2-burner gas stove - and the cooking gas is really expensive. (But thats an upgrade, I used to have too cook with charcoal!) Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Jane,

I always love that picture of Heidi...it makes me know I am talking to you. Nine, huh? My cat is 12 years old now. Boy time flies! I don't know what I'd do without him. He's like a dog believe it or not. We had a female dog who died at 16 years. She was the sweetest little thing. My, then husband, was heartbroken when she died and I was sort of numb. The cat I have now walked in our house and stayed ever since. He had been looking for his home walking up and down the street my neighbors told me. I think he was mistreated too because it took many years to earn his trust.

take care
barbara
