This Too Will Pass

I am a 58 year old retired English teacher who wants to stay healthy and active. I am not that overweight. I weigh 138 pounds, but I want to lose at least 15 pounds because I am only five feet tall. Sometimes it is not easy because I suffer from chronic Meniere's Disease. I will not give up though. I try to stay positive and I will not allow this disease to steal anything else from me. Because of it, I had to retire. It was the right thing to do.

Sometimes it is not easy because I suffer from chronic Meniere's Disease. I will not give up though. I try to stay positive and I will not allow this disease to steal anything else from me. Because of it, I had to retire. It was the right thing to do.

I have now been with Spark People for two years as of today, May 2, 2011. I feel very good about myself. I now walk between seven to ten miles a day and I do weight training everyday. I feel healthier than I have ever felt in my life. I do cardio three times a week and I feel wonderful. I hope and pray that my third year with Spark People is as prosperous and as blessed as my first two years were. I wish blessings on all of my Spark Friends and I pray that all of you accomplish all of your goals. God Bless all of you!!!

May2, 2012 was my third year with Spark People and I feel wonderful. I must admit that I have had a few run-ins with the dreaded Meniere's Disease, but like I have said before, "I refuse to allow this disease to beat me!!!" As far as working out, it has been great and at the end of the year, I purchased some kettle balls. I have fallen in love with this workout routine. I see a big difference in the muscles in my arms and back. They are awesome!!!! I still walk five to seven miles a day, and it seems to get easier and easier everyday. We'll see how the new year finds us.

And say thank you for all your support & kindness expressed on my page & blogs. I have been struggling with health issues for the past few weeks with numerous flares which have kept me from visiting your page as often as I once did. Thanks so much for your understanding, you’re the BEST.... emoticon

Did you get HOT this week? I am guessing you did, since you are in the top five for fitness minutes.
"Thought of the day: If heat makes things expand…I don’t have a weight problem…I’m just HOT" emoticon
Continue to get HOT through exercise and watch yourself "deflate" emoticon
I am rooting for you and your success!

You have to accept whatever comes, and the only important thing is that you meet it with the best you have to give."

- Eleanor Roosevelt

All we can ever ask of ourselves is that we give it our best shot-if we do that then we will succeed in the end.

Wishing you a Sparktacular Weekend.
Hugs

In order to succeed, you must first be willing to fail.
~Anonymous~

They tend to say that unless we have failed we don't value our success. I know I have failed many, many times, but I keep getting up and trying again.

Wishing you a Fantastic Friday.

Accept challenges, so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory.
~George S. Patton~

It is true isn't it, we need those challenges to make us feel truly alive.
Have a Fabulous Thursday.
